Inkwell Ideas at GenCon: new Villages/Cities/Ruins DungeonMorph Dice & Cards, RPG Card Decks, Giveaways

New DungeonMorph Dice (Villages, Cities, & Ruins)
Brand new for the con (just arrived/currently delivering to Kickstarter backers) are our new Village, City, and Ruins DungeonMorph Dice. These take our ENnie nominated DungeonMorphs dungeons & caverns concept and translate them to urban/settlement designs.
Each set has 5 different dice with 6 different designs each–one per side. Each design has roads leading off the design at the same points on each side so any two designs can be joined by placing them adjacent to each other. Just grab a few, roll them, and push them together to make a village, city or ruined city.
The will be available for sale on our website shortly after the convention.
A matching card deck that has all 90 designs from the 3 sets is also available.
ENnie Nomination
The revised versions of our prior DungeonMorph Dice (dungeons & caverns) are also available at the convention. Last year we upgraded these dice to better quality and finer detail. As a result a prettier stonework pattern was added to the dice. There are three sets: Adventurer (dungeons), Explorer (more dungeons), Spellunker (caverns). The Adventurer set was nomination this year for an ENnie!
As with the villages/cities/ruins dice, a matching card deck that has all 90 designs from the 3 sets is available.
RPG Card Decks
Also brand new for the convention (just shipped to Kickstarter backers) are three new RPG related card decks:
- Another Creature Deck (54 cards, one card per creature) focusing on more Dragons, Outsiders & Undead with system neutral ecology information on each. These are great for knowledge checks, showing the players the creature and planning adventures.
- A third Encounter Deck (54 mini adventure outlines & a map, each on a trading card). Each card has an adventure outline on one side and the primary map for the adventure on the other side. Each adventure has either a science fantasy or swords & sorcery theme, but they are easy to convert to regular other sub-genres.
- An NPC Portraits Deck of 54 fantasy characters where each card has a portrait on one side and the back has minimal system neutral style stats, personality and background for the character.
We’ll also have our prior five system neutral creature decks (each focusing on different creature types) and the same decks with stats for various game systems (Pathfinder/3.75e, Fate, Dungeon World, Labyrinth Lord/0e/1e) and the prior two Encounter Decks. Note the key difference between the new and prior Encounter decks is that the map on one side doesn’t match the adventure outline on the other side–you are meant to draw other cards when a map is needed. In the newest Encounter Deck, the map on one side goes with the adventure on the same card.
Software
Our core software (Hexographer, Dungeonographer, Cityographer, and the Coat of Arms Design Studio) have all received minor updates throughout the year and will be available at the con at a special price! They are also now available with native Windows installers. (No Java required.)
