Even More 5e Magic Items

Continuing a bit of a new feature here as we develop a number of Magic Items for 5th edition.  See some previews below:

Vampire Cloak

Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

While you wear this cloak you may climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. In addition, the cloak has three charges, and it regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dusk. While you wear it, you can use an action to expend one charge to cause it to turn you gaseous, as the spell gaseous form.

Bag of Insects

Wondrous Item, rare

This bag contains ten centipedes, three spiders, five wasps and one scorpion, each in a paralyzed state. As an action, you can think of one of these creature types as you reach into the bag and pull out any number of them you wish (up to the number the bag contains). When released from your hand, each transforms into a giant version of the creature and animates.

You may toss them to a spot within 30′ where they will transform. If the spot is occupied or several insects are tossed there, they appear as close as possible to that location. Otherwise, the insects act as those transformed by the spell giant insect. Once an insect is used, it can not be used again.

Crown of Glibness

Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

While worn, you have advantage on deception and persuasion (Charisma) checks and magic to detect truthfulness indicates you are being truthful.

Wand of Guiding Bolts

Wand, rare (requires attunement)

This wand has 3 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to create fire bolts as the spell guiding bolt (save DC 13) from it. For 1 charge, you cast the 1st-level version of the spell. You can increase the spell slot level by one for each additional charge you expend.

The wand regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1 the wand crumbles into ashes and is destroyed.
