Mesopotamian World/Kingdom Map Icons Previews
Our map icons Patreon (sort of an opt-in monthly subscription) continues for July with a Mesopotamia theme! The full set will have over 100 icons. These two previews have 17 World/Kingdom scale icons in each of Classic and Isometric styles. The remaining 70 or so icons will be buildings for city/village/settlement maps and battlemat icons.
Artist/cartographer Keith Curtis puts these together for us each month. For each icon style (classic & isometric) Keith created two of each of the core capital, city, town, and village icons that we do for most cultures. Each of those types has a more plain and a colorful version. Because the kingdoms of Mesopotamia are old even by historical standards, he felt it was important to have ruined versions of the capital, city, town, and village icons. A shrine and ziggurat also seemed to be key to these cultures, so he created world/kingdom icons of those as well as a ruined version of each.
As usual, we’ll private message all Patreon supporters the link to the graphics on the last day of the month.
