3.5 Fantasy RPG Spells to 5e Conversion Chart
While converting monsters for our own 5e Fiendopedias, we thought it was useful to develop a chart which attempts to name a 5e spell for each 3.5 spell. So if you have a 3.5 monster with spell-like abilities or spellcasting or an NPC spellcaster, you can more easily create its 5e version. Of course if you’re coming from Pathfinder or 3.0, this list will also be very helpful.
A few notes:
This was/is a much bigger effort than it initially seemed, and there are many spells that don’t initially have clear answers. If you’ve got a suggestion, send it to support at inkwellideas dot com. This document is licensed under the OGL, including new spell names and caster names. But we’d like to keep it up to date so please send suggested changes and additions. |
