    I’m sure for many uses, it’s fine to have the same “Hex Orientation” for hexes, because the inbetween/shared hexes aren’t an issue.

    However, I use the alternating orientations, since it gives a superior way to do Hexmaps-within-Hexmaps.

    I use Flat-Top for my WORLD level & Pointy-Top for my CONTINENT level.
