Where Do You Get Your Gaming News?
Occasionally I learn of things through some of the RPG discussion message boards in the “general discussion” areas that I’m surprised I didn’t see in the dedicated “Publishers Ads” message board sections.
Currently I check the “Ads” or “Open Promo” or “Publishers and Press Releases” sections of EnWorld, RPG.net, and The RPG Site. Sometimes I see news through the RPG Bloggers Network, although that has probably been picked up from other sources. I used to look at GamingReport.com daily, but now that redirects to a comics news website.
So where else do you get gaming news? I’m looking for RPG focused news, but i also have some interest in board, miniatures and card games. If you’re a small publisher how/where do you get the word out?

I MAKE the news.
Actually, I got nothin.’

I tend to get gaming news through blogs, I’m afraid, and then only blogs that I either subscribe to or that are linked via blogs that I subscribe to.
Getting the word out? Basically my own blog, posting on other blogs with a link back to my site, and the kind linkage from other blog authors who feel a particular article or post or download on my site is worth linking to.
I’ve not had good luck posting in forums – there tends to be a low signal:noise ratio and forum moderators don’t want to see anything resembling advertisment. Plus, I really don’t have a lot of extra time to check forums regularly – it’s not a good vehicle in my experience.
Check out Purple Pawn for everything cool, sick, famous, infamous, down and dirty, up and coming, cultural, or just plain weird in the world of tabletop games.

“game news across the board”
P.S. Once upon a time, we offered to purchase Gaming Report but F+W (the publisher) never followed through.
I just follow people on twitter which gets me the news pretty fast. If not there I see it in tabletop open on RPG.net.
