Random Inn Generator Gets Many New Floor Tiles

I’ve added a bunch of new tiles for the Random Inn Generator over the past few days.  Based on prior feedback I added a set of tiles that doesn’t include privies, and I added an option that toggles whether the inn will have them or not. You may also keep this option random.  (I’m torn on the issue of privies: On the one hand only the best of inns in the late middle ages would have them (and maybe not even then). But they could just be places for chamber pots, or magic could be somehow involved or maybe the society isn’t advanced technologically but this is one technology that progressed.  Finally, remember the inn could be part of a modern setting.)   There are also a set of tiles for a second level that is filled in.  Previously the center of the inn’s second level was open and overlooking the main room.  Finally, I filled in the kitchen with tables, fireplaces and shelves.  There are two kitchen layouts and the kitchen can have a backdoor or not, which gives a total of four variations.

Next I plan to add some random (mostly benign) rumors based on a couple of posts I’ve made here recently.  In addition to choosing among 50+ random rumors, I’ll make the names of people and places random so even if you see the same rumor from two inns, the specifics may be changed.

  1. Very cool. I’ll have to check these out for my game. Starting to play an Atlantean game very soon and will need these as we’re playing a bit off the cuff.

    Cheers,
