Cityographer Update: Load/Save Done, But More To Do

For anyone following Cityographer but not getting the emailed updates through Kickstarter:

I’m anxious to get back to programming, so I’m going to stick to bullet points.

  • Not done yet.  I hoped it would be just two weeks (three weeks ago) but as I worked on load/save I found more related things that needed to be adjusted to the new back-end.
  • But load/save is done!
  • I’m still working on the final bit of new functionality: importing custom textures.  That is only another day or two of work.
  • The “sunny day” scenario is working, but as you develop some edge cases don’t get tested often after they are initially written.  They need to be tested and fixed.  I hope that won’t take too much longer but I expect it will be another week or two.
  • I know that sounds like a broken record, but it really is coming together!

As I said, I’m going to leave it short as I want to knock out some more of the custom texture functionality tonight!

  1. Thanks for the update, I’ve been awaiting this one since it started. Unfortunately I was unable to partake of the Kickstarter. Is there another mailing list for those who want to be notified of when it is released, but aren’t already a KS funder?
