Cityographer 1.0 Released (City Map & Details Generator & Editor)

Inkwell Ideas is pleased to announce the release of Cityographer 1.0! The project has been in open beta for about a year. With the addition of one final feature and several fixes it has reached the 1.0 milestone. You can try Cityographer out for free at http://cityographer.com and look for the download page.
Building interior maps is the most recent new major feature. In short, when you set up your you map declare a folder that contains building interior maps. As buildings are added to the map (either by hand or automatically by the generator) the folder will be checked for image files that match the key name of the building. If any are found, the system will randomly choose one. You can then view it and change it through the view/add/edit note feature. See the Cityographer download page for details and a zip of sample building floorplans made with Dungeonographer.
Other recent changes:
- You can mark the city center so the center doesn’t have to be where two major roads meet. (That is the default functionality.)
- You can switch the grid to squares instead of hexes (go to the “Configure” menu and select “Grid/Misc”.) Turn the grid on/off using the radio button to the left of the map you’re editing.
- You can add rows of new data when editing a building’s details (additional products, residents, etc.)
- You can change the data generator file used for creating the city or the folder for building interior maps (Go to the “Configure” menu and select “Grid/Misc”.
Even though it is 1.0, there will still be more features added and bugs fixed! We will support this great RPG tool.
