Small Survey Results on System Preference

First of all, Happy New Year!

Over the past couple of days we’ve been doing a survey on system choice (still open for votes!) about an expansion of our Creature & Encounter Decks.  Because it may help others to see what systems people prefer, here are our results so far, with caveats below:

Caveats:

  • Of course it is still a small sample size.
  • It is biased towards the systems we did in our original sets (System Neutral (ecology info), Fate, Dungeon World, 0e/1e Fantasy (using Labyrinth Lord) and Pathfinder.)

Other notes:

  • 13th Age and Savage worlds were added to the survey late based on participant suggestions.
  • We likely can’t do Savage Worlds because when we asked previously they told us they may do something similar in the future.  But we had a few people ask about it, so we added it for completeness.
  • I’m surprised Fate didn’t do better as our Fate Creature Decks were especially well done in my opinion and the system seems very popular on forums.
  • 5e versions will depend on the OGL or a discussion with our lawyer.
