City Map Icons Patreon Preview

Cityographer Map Icons
Cityographer Map Icons (Click to see full size; actual graphics are 2x what they are in the full size image)

This is our 4th & final preview of the map icons we’re releasing this month through our Patreon (something like a monthly subscription).  This is our first month re-launching it, and this time we’re trying to do themed months.  Our first theme is Sea cultures, primarily merfolk. This post has the Cityographer map icons.  Once you click to enlarge the sample posted here, the icons in the image are 1/2 the final size.  (Of course, in the program they are scaled as you wish.)

Use this icons to build a underwater city!  Drop the palace in the center and add the library and theater nearby.  Place several shops through the city and a few taverns.  Create a ring of towers to border the city’s area.  Cluster a few mansions together in a ritzy section, and fill in the rest with houses.  Finally sprinkle in some coral and seaweed.

Here are a few more details about our Patreon and how we’re changing it:

We’ve changed the Patreon’s focus a little. We’ve dropped the Coat of Arms graphics and added a second Isometric map icon set to match the new Worldographer graphics.  We simply haven’t had as much demand for additional Coat of Arms graphics, while the new Isometric graphics have been a big hit.

Each month we’ll have 4 map icon sets: isometric map icons (good for Worldographer, but usable in Hexographer 1 as well–see the image above); more flat/classic & 1e style icons for Worldographer or Hexographer; more dungeon and building interior graphics perfect for Dungeonographer; and more city/village building icons designed for Cityographer. Each month will have a theme. All the graphics will be transparent PNGs, so they should be usable in other map & image editors as well.

As before, we’ll be posting preview thumbnails of each set, and making a single paid post near the end of the month with the actual graphic sets. This post has our isometric icons preview. Our plan is to do just one set of each type per month in one paid post.  (One set of 15+ isometric icons, one set of 15+ city icons, one set of 15+ dungeon/building interior icons, one set of 15+ flat/classic world map icons.)
