Sylvan City Patreon Map Icons Preview

This post has a preview of our city Sylvan themed Patreon icons for November 2018 by artist/cartographer Keith Curtis. The set has a number of tree-buildings such as houses, a tavern, shops, theater, etc., plus a few related items like mushroom houses and faerie circles.  If you’re not familiar with Patreon, it is something like an opt-in monthly subscription.

Each month we’ll have 4 map icon sets: isometric map icons (good for Worldographer, but usable in Hexographer 1 as well); more flat/classic & 1e style icons for Worldographer or Hexographer; more dungeon and building interior graphics perfect for Dungeonographer; and more city/village building icons designed for Cityographer. All the graphics will be transparent PNGs, so they should be usable in other map & image editors as well.

And as we announced a few months ago, in addition to the icon sets we’re going to give license keys for the upcoming new city/town/village mapping functionality being added to Worldographer for all of our Patreon backers when ready.  We don’t have a firm ETA on the release of that functionality… it won’t be this week, but it will be before 2019. All Patreon backers at the time that we release the city mapping update to Worldographer will get a key. You will need to already have a Worldographer key, however the new functionality which mimics Cityographer (but better: easier to configure, upgraded UI, more options) will not require any extra payment for Patreon backers.

We post preview thumbnails of each set, and make a single paid post through Patreon near the end of the month with the actual graphics.
