Patreon Preview: Building Map Icons for Keeps & Monasteries

This post is our preview of the keeps & monasteries (plus a few others) building icons for use with city maps which feature home bases for most classes in traditional fantasy role-playing games.

Each month, Inkwell Ideas creates 4 new mini-sets of icons as part of a Patreon.  (Sort of an opt-in monthly subscription.)  Each is 15+ icons. One has world/kingdom map icons in a classic style, a second has world/kingdom icons in an isometric style, the third set is top-down settlement icons, and the fourth has battlemat (dungeon/building interior/tactical outdoor area) icons. These icons are perfect for making Dungeons and Dragons (or other RPG) maps.

Artist/cartographer Keith Curtis has done his best to signify what each building is for without requiring a label. The bard college has a music symbol, the Magic School has something like a summoning circle in the center, etc.

As usual we’ll send out the actual icons at the very end of the month to all backers.
