Utopian Future Classic World/Cosmic & Battlemat Icons Preview, Plus Spaceship Sample

Inkwell Ideas runs a Patreon (sort of an opt-in subscription) for new map icons each month. Each month we make four map icon sets (an isometric world/kingdom set, a classic world/kingdom icon set, a battlemat set, and a settlement set of mostly top-down buildings) with a theme voted on by our supporters. This month’s theme is Utopian Future.

Support us for as little as $3/month and get 100+ icons each month as well as support new features added to Worldographer. While we make them for Worldographer, most map/image editors that work with PNG images should accept them.

We previewed our settlement icons a few days ago and our isometric world/cosmic icons before that.

In the Classic World/Cosmic set we have a mix of icons useful for cosmic/sector maps as well as some for an alien’s planet surface.

In the case of the planet surface icons, the background colors of the terrain were adjusted to have no blue so we get a more alien look using our “alt classic” icons.  But note the only new terrain icons in the set are for the robofarms and terraformed land.  It does also have the new Utopian Capital/City/Town/Village & Landing Pad.

For our cosmic scale icons we’ve got several variants of earth-like planets, space stations, and various spaceships.  Again, combining all of that with our Outer Space Expanded set (Sept 2020) as well as our Space Fantasy set (Dec 2020) will give you a bunch more ship tokens and planet icons.
