Utopian Future Settlement (Top-down Buildings & Ships) Map Icons Preview

“Utopian Future” is the theme this month for our Patreon (sort of an opt-in monthly subscription). For this set we looked to Star Trek’s Federation for inspiration fitting our Utopian Future theme.  While before for the settlement subset of our Outer Space Expanded set (Sept 2020) we did several buildings for a moon colony also using Star Trek as inspiration, here we’re doing another set that could be a moon colony with the right background but it can also fit a planet with an earth-like look or you could fit these on a planet being terraformed–whatever you wish.

But in this set we also decided to do top-down versions of the same ships in the isometric set we previewed previously (and will be in our classic set we’ll preview soon) as well as top down versions of the icons in the classic & isometric sets we did before. We’ve got six ships from our main faction plus six more freighters & passenger ships and three ships for each of two other empires/groups.

For completeness, if you’re looking for some oddball ship tokens, we also did a Space Fantasy set in December 2020 and some pirate style ships in November 2020’s Pirates & Ports set.

We’ll have more previews through the end of the month: we’ll post our classic world/kingdom, and battlemat map icon samples soon. As usual, we will post the actual icons for all backers on the last day of the month.
