Ring Lord Historical Map Icons Preview

Inkwell Ideas runs a Patreon for new map icons every month… Each month we make 100+ total icons usually in 4 styles: isometric world/kingdom, classic world/kingdom, settlement, & battlemat based on a theme picked by our patrons. However, this month different: We’re focusing on just one new map icon style that we developed a couple years ago called “Ring Lord” that is inspired by the classic Lord of the Rings maps. In this case, we’re making icons of cities, towns, villages, and more using the architectures of many real world historical cultures and empires. Most cultures get a capital, city, town, village, fort, and ruins plus a few icons unique to that culture. For example: Egypt gets a Tomb, Sphinx, or Necropolis, and Ottoman has a couple of Mosques.
