Coat of Arms Design Studio, Hexographer & Dungeonographer Updates
All three main software programs by Inkwell Ideas have been updated in recent days. In case you aren’t on our mailing list, here is a rundown:
- Hexographer: A bug was fixed which prevented maps to be scaled up in size (beyond 1″/hex) when exported to PNG or printed. The bug has been fixed, but remember to make large maps so you will need to set the memory allocated to Hexographer to a high number when you launch it. (This is a pro version feature.) If you plan to make hexes over 1″ in diameter, you also may need to reduce the number of hexes on your map by going to Tools and selecting the “expand/shrink number of hexes” option. This allows you to remove rows and columns of hexes from the map so the remaining hexes can be made into a larger image.
- Dungeonographer: The same Hexographer issue was also fixed in Dungeonographer.
- Coat of Arms Design Studio: An issue was found that prevented the software from loading designs with “mantling.” This has now been fixed.
If you have the pro version of any of the tools, you should automatically get the update or automatically get message about the update when you next use it.
